Burgundy-Jura Tourism &wine digital exhibition

From October 12 to 16, 2020, tourism and wine tourism providers, local producers and hoteliers met with French and international tourism professionals, travel agencies, tour operators during individual meetings by videoconference.

How does the Bourgogne Jura Tourism & Wine show work?

In total, 72 players from Burgundy and the Jura responded to the very first edition of this virtual regional fair dedicated to wine tourism. Each of them via a page acting as a stand and is available to some 200 registered visitors (travel agencies, tour operators, coach operators, but also specialized press), within the framework of online meetings.

 

Visitor side

For the visitor, a personal diary including the appointments requested and those validated.

Exhibitors side

  • An exhibitor page: product catalog, brochure, presentation, image gallery, banner.
  • 1to1 appointments in video.
  • An agenda for each exhibitor allowing appointments to be proposed with possible management of these.

After 5 full days of the show, the results are positive at all levels! With more than 380 appointments made and more than 60 exhibitors, exchanges were fruitful with the 180 tourism professionals from France and around the world: United States, China, Romania, Brazil, Australia, Kuwait...

Moreover, the serious accompaniment and the strong reactivity of the technical team of the Show allowed an immediate handling of the requests of the exhibitors and visitors at all times. Here is the testimony of Johanna Thomas, marketing officer for the Gevrey-Chambertin and Nuits-Saint-Georges Tourist Office: “Congratulations to the whole team for organizing the show! Exchanges with Tour Operators were productive!"
For all of these professionals, this show was beneficial and constructive! The Digital Tourism & Wine show opened new doors for them to prepare for the 2021 tourist season, which is very good news for the sector.

 

This first edition being a real success in the Bourgogne-Jura region, it should not stop just in 2020! Indeed, the Virtual Fair project around the theme of Tourism and Wine Tourism for professionals should evolve into a second edition next year and be available for the other regions of France!
The partners of the Bourgogne Jura Wine & Tourism E-Salon are even thinking about upgrading the virtual platform through training in how to use the tool for future exhibitors and new features!
